Hey guys, So I've been on the 67-72 side for a few years and just recently finished up a square 2wd blazer. I sold it over the weekend and went and picked up a 1978 c20 crew cab dually! Super stoked about this one, Its been recently swapped with a 92 12v cummins. Ill attach some pics and try to get going on the teardown and build soon. Got another project to finish before this one gets too involved....

been sloooooowwwww going so far, well as far as exciting stuff. Did rebuild the front suspension and new u joints! Im trying to finish another project before diving head first into this one.

I located a rust free cab, mine needs rockers and cab corners at least. Got a good price on it, with 4 great doors. Now i gotta figure out how to load it on a trailer!

I did upgrade the dash though. None of the gauges were hooked up or working when i bought it and rather than chasing that mess i swapped them over to Dakota Digital. Have them in my c10 as well and love em. Used an autometer diesel tach adapter as well to get that going.

haven't got to jump into this truck just yet. should have some big updates in the next couple weeks as a big project I'm finishing up is just about ready to go home!!

I was tasked with updating this f100 about 30 years as far as suspension and drivetrain. I didn't paint this one as it was painted when the customer bought it. Installed a mustang 2 in the front and a 4 link in the rear. Did coilovers in the rear as well as disk brakes. Installed a 2015 lt1 and 6l80 trans, the same setup thats in my c10. Waiting on the coil springs for the front as its too low at the moment, then a few miles of driving and it goes home......

well, with the crazy weather here in houston the last few days i had enough time to get some updates to the dually. Still along way to go but its a big start.....:metal::metal:

slowly starting to work on this dude, I ended up buying a second cab that has zero rust as the one on the truck has plenty! Ive started working it over in the last couple of days smoothing and cleaning up the firewall. Not going completely smooth on this one just alot cleaner. Shaved the heater area as I'm installing vintage air.

also dropped it down a bit more. I wanna bag this one too, but I'm currently cash stashing for vacation so truck funds aren't great! They'll have to wait till after vacation

its got drop spindles in the front and shackles and hangers in the back. I took the leaf pack apart and removed the biggest overload and 2 leaves. Rides sooo much better now too!

been steadily working on the replacement cab, Got all the bodywork finished up and got it in first prime today. May block and reprime tomorrow morning and then pull the doors to prep the jambs and dash. Also gonna spray the floor in lizard skin

I have a couple dumb questions if you don't mind. The passenger side where you installed the flat panel, was that directly over what was already there, or did you cut out the old stuff first? If you installed the panel without cutting the old part out, how were you able to smooth the "step" from the new panel to the existing firewall on the driver's side? Thank you.

Yep, i cut out and removed the old panel. Then welded this one in flush. Also cut down the pinch welded seam on both sides and welded that seam up as well

well, heres a sneak peak at the color. I got the firewall painted tonight. Next step is to pull the doors off and prep the jambs and dash. Also gonna spray the floor with lizard skin.:devil:
