Saw this truck on craigslist. Nice ride. Like the look of the 67 front end on it. Good luck with it.

Thanks, it works out perfect for me I have a 5.3 in my garage from a wreck I got to use front end parts for my son in laws truck. The Jimmys engine has issues and I will transplant the 5.3 and leave the 700R4 in place. Flash the computer, new mounts, new fuel pump, lines and a few weeks of time and it should be on the road again. (At least thats the plan)

Good looking ride, I always thought Blazers looked good in white.
Is it stock height?

I just bought a soft top. I'm about to install it. Is it easy to do? Any advice to help it go smoothly?

Its not too bad. The directions suck so i looked up a couple of threads on this site and found some good pictures so i kind of knew what i was getting into before i started. The main thing i would say is take your time and pre-drill the header snap holes because the self tapping screws that they give you are crap and you will strip out the heads if you are not careful. Other than that it went pretty smooth.

After the header is on can you still use the hardtop or not?

You could still use your hard top but you would have to remove the header bar and the aluminum rails that bolt to the bed rails.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?

After many evenings of modifying the old 2001 5.3 engine harness and getting the computer modified to get rid of the 4L60 auto, Anti Theft stuff and the rear OX sensors. I dropped the 5.3 into my 70 Jimmy today on to Dirty Dingo mounts.

It was difficult to move the engine into place against my 700R4 once I dropped it in but there was a small bracket on the power steering pump keeping it from moving that I didn't see. It's in now but it took most of the afternoon/evening, tomorrow Ill connect it all up.

A big brown van dropped this off on July 3rd.

Hmmm, what could that be?

:D Couldn't wait to get it installed, so I pulled out all the tools on the 4th...
