Awesome looking truck, really like it. How do you like that exhaust set up?

It’s great , exhaust is routed through the frame, just a simple down turn after the mufflers. Does kick up a lot road dirt.

GoingDown8 10-03-2020 12:15 AM

Looks really good. I will probably go with a similar routing.

Nice job, I ran the black widow race venoms all the way out on my convertible but I am going to shorten them and do a similar turn down.

Good looking truck...we have very similar builds. Crate motor with FI, front runner system, Vintage air, and boyd fuel tank...heck we even have the exact same rear shocks! LOL

Is that the Lokar gas pedal I see? How do you like it?

Yes it’s a Lokar pedal highly recommended.

Saw a picture and had a local auto upholstery shop duplicate it.

Truck looks great,

Did you buy one of the currie "bolt in kits" for the rear end?

Nice combo of parts & clean build!
How's the Edelbrock ProFlow-4 working so far?

It’s great, have a little over 800 miles absolutely no issues.

I've been eyeing the 'traditional' carb intake arrangement vs the XTI. I want to keep the old school appearing air cleaner & such. Just nervous that it won't work as I hope (hassle-free/new car-ish).

There is so much more aftermarket support (tuning) for Holleys product line but it's a higher initial buy-in.

I’m lucky, my neighbor has worked for Edelbrock for a very long time, tech support was great. Very happy with the FI.

Well.... Did he have to help tweak things much then?

Remarkably no, it was fairly painless. Did have one wrench throwing moment, turned out my coil was bad. Never had a new coil fail.

Awesome Truck
I’m hoping to do a similar build; my chassis has the crossmember for manual transmission like yours shows in the photos. We’re you able to leave it in with the 700r4

Yes but it was modified a bit. Also used CPP tubular mount

Ghetto Fireman, with regards to the Lokar accelerator pedal, which one did you install. The one for 67-70 or the one for 71-72. In any case any close up pictures of the install. thanks
