What's the best cloth truck cover brand?
 

My dad finally got his truck painted and after I put it back together, I want to get him the best cover on the market since he has no garage. Any recommendations or links? :bowtie:

I have first hand experience and have learned a valuable lesson I need to share. Please don't waste your money on a Budge cover. They are made from Tyvek and decompose after a year or 2 of rainy weather like we have in East Texas. I bought mine and had to write the company to send me a new one because it started getting holes in it at 6 months. The material is not strong and becomes very weak and tearable when wet. Mild wind, when the material is wet, would blow the cover around and cause holes. If you tryed to make the cover tighter on the truck, holes would develop. The company sent me another cover, but I had the same results. I am about to ask them for my money back!

Well I found a couple of sites that sell the one I have but I dont see one for your application. I have a Technalon series 400 cover for my 02 2500hd and I love it. I bought the cover and the truck was free so it looks as if they are pricey. I use mine all the time and it is excellent quality I believe that it would stop a rock from denting it but am unwilling to throw one at the truck yet.....anyways heres one of the links I found and if you need any pics holler cause I do have the cover on now.

are any of them water proof and not just water resistant...i want to get a water proof one to throw on my '85 Blazer when the top is off. I have one that I thought was water proof but found out otherwise when i used it on the blazer.

The one I have, the website says it is not waterproof however I have yet to see any water or water spots under it after lots of rain. It is dry in the morning even after a dew so I guess it also breathes very well. I dont think they even make a cloth waterproof cover. If I had the blazer problem I would just buy a wally world tarp, I know its cheap but it will keep the water out.

I would not have paid the kind of money that mine cost personally but it came with the truck so I will sure use it

I like the Wolf covers also, The top of the line Wolf are thick and helps prevent cat scratches. My Jimmy is just tall enough that the cats (we have five) can't quite make it when they jump, but they do try to sink their claws into my finish.

I have always used California Car Cover and will never use another company again. Pricing can be a bit pricy ($150 - $500)

I got my Wolf "top-of-the-line" custom fitted cover from www.buytruckstuff.com for $205- They exchanged a "universal" cover that my wife bought me for my birthday and the fitteed one was less expensive- did I take the wife out to dinner or something foolish like that? NO! I bought the rims you see on the avatar!

i have a tarp but since I work and go to school in the city, it would be nice to have somethiing easy to throw on

I use California Car Cover www.calcarcover.com on my customers show trucks we have done and on my own collection, a little pricy but imo price is not the determining factor when protecting high dollar vehicles.

I also have a California Car Cover. It fits great, no wrinkles at all, custom made for the 67-72. It is a quality cover and would definately recommend them. Mine is garage kept so my cover isn't water proof. They do sell waterproof ones though.

I have a wolfe cover with Evolution 3, I have had on my truck 24/7 for the past four years, even through the winter. I beleive Summit racing sells them. It has held up great. Only probelm is that in the winter when snow gets on it and turns to ice you want to take it off but it sticks to the cover. DO NOT try and pull ice off, you will end up taking the fabric with it. If you get lots of snow and the truck will be outside you will need to build a frame work to put in the bed to keep the cover from sagging in.
