Leaf Spring Questions

I have a 72 K20 and am installing the zero rate add a leaf, can someone explain the leaf spring set up on my truck from this picture? It seems pretty robust, can't find any info or images similar. Also, is the "block" closest to the axle housing original? Thanks...

Re: Leaf Spring Questions

upper set is extra over load helper pack . should be hangers on the frame for them to hit when loaded up heavy .

lower block at spring perch on axle could be factory . my dads old 70 k20 gmc had a 1" block in the back .

I just want to say that when you are installing your new springs or whatever you are going to use, its a good idea to use the rounded U bolts, that go around the axle housing facing upwards, and then get the plates from a 73 or later truck, much better and cleaner looking setup, unless you are trying to keep it original looking
