Thanks guys. Taste is a funny thing huh. You would think that if I liked my 2 wheel drive trucks lowered that I would like my 4 wheelers lifted but nope, I like them sitting at stock height. But I do appreciate all the work it takes to hoist these trucks up. And duallies? Love them and still regret selling my loaded '79 regular cab dually. In fact, (much to my wifes dismay) I am looking for another dually to slam and build a flat deck for. Odd? Yes. Different for sure. But its something I feel I want to do and I'll post a rendering of what I'm thinking about in the next couple of days.

Heres my 85 K10 Silverado, started life out with a 305/700r4, my uncle bought it almost 20 years ago and it had a worn out 400 and the 700 was on its last legs. He and his friend rebuilt the motor with all the latest performance parts of the 90s and put a turbo 350 behind the 400. This truck was my first vehicle and a year into driving we put another used(big mistake learned twice) 700r to try and save gas, I blew 3rd and 4th gear one day and this past Christmas blew up the other 700r. I'm planning to restore this truck in honor of my Grandpa who passed last week. This truck was always his favorite. I plan of putting a standard tranny(tired of junkomatics) and lifting it just to put 35's, repaint and put all new chrome trim and cab trim on it. But being a broke college student I will restore it piece by piece. I have my 91 sport 4x4 for my DD so I can not worry about needing to drive it when I tear it down. These pictures are of when me and dad first fixed it up(bondo and spray paint just to drive it) its seen better days now, I'm glad i don't have new pictures of it as it sits from where I sideswiped a guardrail(still learning to drive almost 5 years ago) The truck is my Pride and Joy and when finished will be a sunny day truck.:chevy:

I have some photos of what i would like on my truck ,do you think mickey thompson classic 2 polished 15x8 aluminum rims would look good on my truck? there going on 33x12.50x15 super swamper radials and i would also like to put one of the spares i have in the bed mounted in between the roll bar tell me what you think? or is it too much, and does it suit the truck being it is flat black i have black rims on it now but i think aluminum will look great on it so long as there kept polished ? im geting them for 960 bucks installed new lugs nuts center caps and new tires switched over to new rims ,new stainless valve stems and taxes are included :metal:

hey 99monte nice truck. and thanks for postin it,i've been lookin for a pic of a long bed in just those colors. i saved a pic hope you dont mind. yours looks JUST like the one my grandfather had when i was a kid. he bought it new in 77 or 78,i was 3 or 4 at the time, and he had till it got totaled in 95. many fond memories of him and that truck. my grandparents would pick me up in it every weekend for visits and we took it on several camping and fishing trips. i would have to say the memories of his truck is one reason i love chevys.
