'52 GMC engine swap

Hi there, as a kid, I tinkered with a 1952 3/4-ton GMC. Now, I am a recent college graduate looking to put a better engine in it. It still has the original 228. I'm looking for detailed advice regarding what engine to put in it and what else I'll need to do.

Hi and Welcome! I can only give advice on engine swaps that " I " feel are right for me, driving style, project , keeping it period correct etc. I can recomend to read as many threads here, use the search feature and imerse yourself. pic's of what you have and its condition may help another member.

350/350 swaps are the easiest/cheapest/H.P.-torque swap out there, thats why there are a million of them. if thats the direction you are leaning, there should be a ton of info.

If you are rebuilding, boring and cam'ing that engine, look at Patricks , stovebolt engine co ( Tom Langdon) or Tom at 12bolt.com

Good luck
