Engine Bay Width Measurement Request

could someone post the distance between the left inner fender and the right, directly behind the radiator support, as if we were to run a 2x4 from one side to the othere and have it fit perfectly edge to edge type of thing

my '71 truck is not here at the moment and I sure could use this size

I'm getting 66-1/4 on my 69 gmc 1 ton

you are going to get different measurements, they are not all going to be the same exact thing

Inside of fender to inside of fender should be almost exactly the same when measured on any of these trucks. They all use the same cabs and as far as I know the radiator supports are all the same width. Fenders bolt direct to core support. My last two trucks did not use spacers there. Front clip is still apart but I could measure core support for you, would be fender to fender when assembled.

That doesn't look like a typical Tesla battery case. More details please. What is is from? How many Volts and kwh? Are you planning on using Tesla motors? Pair or Warps?

a complete build thread coming soon

this is a 9.1 kWh 26Ah 351 Volt hybrid battery pack from a BMW 530e, inside are 6 small car like batteries

(for those not initiated with EV Conversions we can expect somewhere around 3 miles per kilowatt so this pack in theory can take us 27 miles)

I know that is not much but we can add more packs, what makes this pack great is that it is full voltage ie 360 volts nominal (note the thick orange high voltage wire hanress)

No

not being rude or secretive just planning on making a proper build thread for it (to make searching/finding the info easier for people) and don't want this thread to turn into that

I’ll be following your build. EV intrigue me. I’ve driven a dual motor Tesla and was very impressed. I even built an electric mini bike. The 2 little red ones my brother gave me for my Grandson’s. The little Pink one I build for my Granddaughter

that's awesome hard to see if you used Alltrax or Curtis controllers that's the two brands I remember when I took a similar route and converted two go carts for my kids and a Suzuki Katana motorcycle for me, if you Google the Wattana maybe you can still find the build thread out there in a distant corner of the web, our hard drive crashed and I lost all those pics

The 2 red ones are Monster Moto 250 and parts are readily available on there web site. I ordered all the components, motor, batts, controller etc and adapted to the pink one. There’s 2 -12 volt Batts hidden under that big tank with the controller hidden in a little box behind the 250 watt motor. I’m 220lb and it pulls me ~ 10 mph. Grandkids are just now learning they are 2,3 & 4. Getting there. Lots of fun
