Which one to build??
 

Ok, I've got a dilemma. I recently bought a new to me c10, that makes 2 c10s and 2 k10s. When I am done in am hoping to have a good c10 and a good k10. The k is on the back burner right now but will be salvaging parts along the way. I want to build the c10, but as stated i need help deciding which one it's going to be. Candidate number 1: 1972 chevy white/med red/white/med red. Factory clearance lights,yes the fireman's hats, leaf Springs with black vinyl. Candidate number 2: 1972 chevy white/med blue. Coil springs, and blue vinyl trim. Both cabs are in decent shape and I have a good set of besides and floor between the two of them. I am going to put a 4.8/4l60e out of an 01 Silverado in the winner. I should also mention that the red and white one was bought because I love the cab lights and because of the color, so it's going to come down to coils or leafs, trying to add pics cause we all love them, lol

Coils v leafs is almost irrelevant if you love one color scheme over the other, or the cab lights, or anything you can't move from one to the other. They're both going to ride like 1960s trucks either way. I have leafs in this one and coils in the last one and I couldn't tell you the difference, though I'm sure it's there.

Sounds like you already have a strong preference. Go with your gut or you'll wind up spending hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars restoring the one you like less because it has a particular spring package!

That's my $0.03 anyway!

Thanks, that's what I was leaning towards, the leaf truck was running and driving when I bought it and it rides really smooth, the blue one isn't running it's locked up, so no comparison from me

Well, the red one has given me fits, and I tried to learn bodywork on it so I've got to fix some stuff, lol. I believe that the drive shaft has been monkeyed with and found out today that the axle is not original so I need to see what happened there and what kind of shape it's really in. It's thrown the rear half of the drive shaft out while driving one day. So yeah problems all over lol.
