Anyone use first gem cummins intercooled and rad?
1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys, swapping my 72 k20 over to a cummins. Using 91.5 parts. I'm trying to use all cummins parts I have when possible, to avoid more costs. The factory dodge radiator seems pretty tall, and intercooler is narrow for my support. Haven't tried it with hood on truck to see if radiator would clear.
Was courious if anyone has used these items on their swap and if so, any pics of how they did it. Any ideas would be grwat ! Thanks! |

Intercooler, yes, but no on the radiator.... I just went to look through mine, but don't have any good pictures, so I'm sharing Dieselwrencher's..

That's a second gen intercooler.

Matt, here's a 1st gen intercooler I used in a 89 suburban I built a few years ago. I had the one end tank cut off, and had it extended so I could fit it around the radiator of the chevy. That truck had an aluminum replacement radiator as well that was a stock replacement from ebay I believe.

One more picture.
I know that this isn't a 67-72, but I figured it might give you another idea or option. |

The radiator is slightly taller but works fine, hood clears and you can even use the factory dodge hoses.
