First of all, Chromaholic, my condolences on the loss of your Mother, Sister and Sister-in-Law.
I am so glad you were able to get this truck done. Your vision and skill level are definitely admirable. I enjoyed seeing the pictures posted as you did more and more work.
I made very little progress this summer and now that it is getting cold, that's it for this year.

Yeah, I have to agree. I keep going back to this thread, rereading it and being both amazed at your skilled craftsmanship while at the same time getting depressed with my lack of craftsmanship!

Great job of raising the bar!

* So who all was involved with building this work of art?

thanks so much for all the kind words guys on the truck and the condolences for my family, very much appreciated. As for the perseverance...it's one of those things where once you start and get this deep in to a project it's hard to give up on it whether you at that point where your sick of it or not, and that happened more times than you can imagine, lol. most of the real fab work was done by a buddy of mine Jason Albano, the guy is a metal genius, also a wizard in the paint dept. as well, Truck was wired by another buddy of mine Carl White and fortunately I have a buddy who owns a Hot Rod Upholstery shop so Terry did the interior for me. I think the hardest part of the build was the coming up with the interior design and color for the truck, as for the outside we new we weren't changing it, just perfecting it. But the interior was going to be a make or break and I wanted it subtle but rich looking, I decided on the dark brown just to help sway the paint color more to the tan side than the yellow look. I think I designed 200 seats before that's one we went with, lol. it was tough, because I didn't want it to overpower the outside and have too much going on.

Well, it worked. Tell your buddies they each contributed some outstanding effort & your build is on point.

The metal work is outstanding.
The paint looks top tier.
The interior is rich w/o being 'too busy'.
The interior color is defining & absolutely compliments the exterior.
The mechanicals were well done & execution looks top notch as well.

My favorite square body for sure. I’ve enjoyed following along on your build. Congrats on designing and building an insanely beautiful truck. And condolences and prayers for you and your family. Cancer sucks. My wife passed away last year after a 4 year battle at the age of 39.

No way man! Get out & enjoy that thing for @ least 1 show season for yourself.
You earned it.

I never understood how a guy could put so much time, effort, and passion into a project and sell it without even getting to enjoy it for a while. I see it all the time and just can't wrap my head around it. It is one thing to clean one up and do a restoration, but all this custom one off stuff and personal mods. You built this thing for you. Don't let someone else show it off.

I understand what you're saying but I've done the same thing. For me at times the build, the parts chasing, etc is the fun part. Sitting at car shows, cruise nights and such can sometimes be boring, the build is fun and challenging.

Is it JUST a truck??? You started this build in February of 2010. This is 10 years of you life to build this masterpiece.

don't get me wrong the truck is killer and turned out better than I expected but I totally agree. I go to one car show a year, Columbus Goodguys, as for local car shows and cruise nights, been there did that and your right boring as hell. But I know if I don't sell it, I will have a blast with it once spring hits.

yeh, don't remind me...lol, it took a whole lot longer than I ever thought it would but the truck turned amazing and I know it will be a blast. But if the right money offer is on the table you just never know what'll happen, lol

well..I just listened to the pod (finally)!!! Jim, you and Jason sound like really cool guys - the definitive car guys! and a perfect match for what you were wanting to accomplish! I am not sure what the status of the truck is now?.... hopefully it is being seen by the masses. THANK YOU!! for taking us on this journey. I revisited the thread again to remember the caliber of the build & to get ideas and motivation for my lowly daily driver build:lol:. finally... I wanted this to be brought back to the top of the section since many of us are off for a day or 2 so that hopefully it can be "re-shared". As mentioned numerous times, this build is an overall top 5 build!!! Your effort & life commitment to this needs to be revisited.

THANK YOU! :metal:
