20" wheels...

OK, I have finally started restoring my 72. I have done a search on this, but you have to look through 100 threads to find one pic! So, would everyone that has 20" wheels please post up? I need some ideas!

I dont know what my pklans are for the current wheels. I had thought about keeping them and using them from "winter" wheels.

How much drop do you have?

crawdadfox 02-04-2010 04:12 PM

Re: 20" wheels...

I had 3" spindles and 1" coils in front and a 2" spring and a 2 1/2" block out back. Rear tires are 295/40/20's and a 255/40/20 in front. The truck rides better than it did stock!

prin 02-04-2010 04:57 PM

Re: 20" wheels...

That is almost the same as I have on my setup, but I did 3" springs in the front and 4" in the rear with a 1.5" block. Also did the shock relocators on the rear.

Re: 20" wheels...

sorry i haven't checked in in a while, my rims are American racing Torque Thrust M's. The only issue with these are that they do not come in 5x5 so i am running adapters to 5x4.75. Im eventually going to redrill everything in order to tuck a little in order to bag and drop.

You know its comments like THIS that keep me going.
I am waffeling between a Larger/Wider wheel or to stik with my 15".

I AM though (no matter WHAT size) be going to either:
Weld-"Pro Star" Wheel
OR
Centerline "Telstar" Wheel.

I'd like to do what my Body guy suggested, and get another set of Rear Wheel Wells and Cut amd weld in another pair so I can run like a 15X10 Wheel with a BIG Nickey Thomson Tire.
I've always loved Fat Meets and a Tubbed Rear End look!!!!
