Air fuses
How many of you use an air fuse with your air tool hoses such as for sanders and impact wrenches? I had not heard of an air fuse until today, but they look interesting and provide safety.

Re: Air fuses
42 years old and 20+ in daily shop time and i never seen one . can count on 1 hand the of times a hose has popped or whipped me .
check your hose / use quality hose / be mind full of hot metal on floor with hose and there should be no problems to begin with . |
Re: Air fuses
I was today's years old when I heard about air fuses as well, interesting tho! I had a hose crimp let go once but it gave me plenty of notice throughout the day it was not happy.. Take care of your equipment and it will take care of you.

Re: Air fuses
Worked in the aerospace industry for 35 years and never saw any in use. Now in manufacturing you may see them.

Used a automatic shutoff valve that detected a line break...not sure who it was though... |
Re: Air fuses
I've heard of them but mainly around anhydrous HCl and other dangerous gases in case of line breaks and such.
