power lock on rear liftgate
 

I have a 71 GMC Suburban with the rear liftgate it didn't come with any door keys and the 3rd door latch wasn't working.

I replaced the latch on the 3rd door with a passanger door latch and the door locks on the front doors. but can't find a new push button lock for the rear door and as I am planning to put power locks into it anyway I was wondering if anyone has done this and what they used for the rear hatch

Good idea, and I'm curious to see what others may have done on that.

ive never gutted my door...but maybe a solenoid like the shaved door kits come with?

hard to say without seeing the mechanics of them...
