Steering Column/Turn Signals

Sure glad I have this board to address my stupid questions. My turn signal stalk is very loose, it still works. The screw that connects it to white hard plastic part in the steering column (no tilt) has stripped out threads.Any ideas for fixes? Is this the turn signal cancelling cam or the actual turn signal switch, what do I need to buy?

Just use a bigger screw. Like a wood screw, something with a bite on it. So it wont come loose again. Its what i do.

The threaded part is not apart of the turn signal cam. Not sure but it may be somthing you can remove and replace. All it is,is a metal sleave that is threaded. Take off the cam and check it out, just remove the two keepers on the far right and release the snaps holding it on. Also if your cam is brittle or damaged they are almost dirt cheap,at the very least easy while you are in there. GOOD LUCK CHEVYMAN 68 C/10

all that you would need to do is drill it out and retap it... with the next size up... should work just fine good luck
