Exhaust Down Pipes ?

1 Attachment(s)
I’ve decided to build my own dual exhaust because of the cost at my local shop. 350, LWB leaf-spring rear. Reviews talk about one down pipe not being correctly bent ? Can anyone confirm this or suggest a good set. I located this 2.5 Stainless 3 bolt flange. Appreciate any thoughts.

I just had the local shop make me a set for the 68 step. He did it in about 2 hrs and charged me $100.00 for both. He welded them into the exhaust for me also. I can drop the starter without taking the passenger side loose I think. 2.5" pipe.
One guy wanted $250.00-$300.00!

I used Heartthrob for the exhaust on my 67 K10. Due to the Rockwell transfercase the passenger side wouldn't work, which I knew. I mocked up what I needed with flexpipe, then had the local shop bend me a down pipe. $60

LMC...Heartthrob kit for a LWB with leaf springs is $450 ...Emailed Hearthrob about the difference in the down pipe. Did not get a definitive answer, said the kit was only about a year old...I have seen it talked about here since 2015.? I bought a generic kit from Summit $150 delivered 2.25 pipes, no down pipes or mufflers. I don't think anybody makes the down pipes with adjusted angle on the rt side...Could be wrong...Maybe somebody will chime in with the answer.

I'm not home are I would look at my 2 trucks and snap some pictures. I would think it wouldn't be that far off. If they say they fit 67/72 they surely had to install them at some point.:chevy:

I put 64 Impala down pipes on the ramp truck. I had new exhaust installed on the 64 right after I bought it. I took the old exhaust and used it on the ramp. Friday morning it gets the stacks hooked up to it.:chevy:
