That's cool and a great idea. Always thought about doing the same. Problem these days is finding a good donor Blazer windshield frame,not enough for the Blazers as is.This (these) is a (are) part(s) well worth reproducing,what with the value of a good Blazer these days. No sense in making the other panels is the windshield will still me crusty...AND pickup guys can do this. Especially to pickups with rusted out header panel/drip rail areas

wasnt this the craze in the late 80s with the mini truck croud?
I think the company still makes the kits dont they?
Just my thought when I saw the pics...
Before anyone says anything... yes I was around then and yes I had my license then too. LOL

A friend of mine had one in the early 90's and said it was fun for a weekend truck but as a daily driver it squeaked too much and leaked every time it rained

Thought about doing this to a rusty roof Longhorn I found for summer running. But for the dust here and the windshield header source problem I don't think its worth the effort. Haha I was the first to respond in that thread after the build pix were posted. I guess I like these things. Yes I was around for the California style convertible mini trucks. Remember the Dodge Dakota factory convertible?

Installed a more that few Rag Time Mini tops in my day. Never really liked the fact that the window frame really just flopped around on the mini conversions. But then it didn't have the vent window structure to support it like the Blazer. There was also a company called Sun Tiger that did square body Chevys around 79-80 IIRC.

Not too long ago I did this as a concept for gooseneck hauler.
A tucked dually with a air bagged rear end to keep to managable empty/detached.
