Hole under console area
 

I have a 71 blazer that was a base model, no console. I'm wondering what the large hole in the floor under the console area is?

I think it's for drainage. Mine has the same hole but plugged with a plastic/rubber grommet.

Thanks, I'll just put a plug in it and cover it.

Fuel line? For trucks. Maybe they use the same stamping

I also own a 1971 Blazer with no center console. It has the same hole. I stuck a plastic plug in it. I've always wondered if it was factory...

Looks Factory. Mine has the same hole with a plug in it. I was curious about it myself, but continued with putting in my interior. I didn't want to pull up my floors to look, but since it has the plug in it, it might be some kind of access to a bolt or something under the floor. Did you look down the hole to see what was there? Let me know.

There is nothing under there. I also put a plug in it and covered it.

did the consoles ever come with lights? I don't remember having a hole under my console. But it could be to run a power wire, or at least that is what I would possible use it for.
