As a matter of fact I did. I wouldn't be embarrased at all. There are lots of vehicles at car shows to choose from and they picked yours. You should be proud. I can't even remember the show title but it was on Fox sports midwest. I watch everything that has to do with muscle cars or trucks and I knew when I saw you post something months back what truck that was but just waited to out you.

Man that paint looks like what was on the old rails in the late 60's early 70's. Love it!:metal:

Makes me wish my truck wasn't 2 toned with the wrong hood, I'd do something similar. Maybe in the far off future if I ever get froggy enough to paint it it'll happen. What size tires are you runnin'? My truck needs new shoes and that's similar to the stance i'd like.

Back in the late Fifties and into the early Sixties, those scallops were one of the paint styling trends. It seems that the '58 Impala was a primo candidate for those, but so were the majority of vehicles of that era. I think that the scallop paint trend was to have be something different from flames.

Really? Flames are timeless.

I just bought my high school truck back after 12 years today. I will get it cleaned up and take better pics and post them. Truck was painted (by the local flame man by the name of Munch) in the mid 90s, then i wrecked it in 99 and sold it to my uncle. He had it repainted by another guy and the flames aren't near as good as they were.

I'm going to lower the rear 2" and polish the wheels and that about all I'm going to do to it for now. I still have my el camino I'm trying to get painted.

Few pics of it...
