1972 Cheyenne 10 Super SWB

One owner, 350, 95% original genuine Cheyenne Super, black, SWB with air. Not many options. 99% rust free. It has been repainted (poorly) once. Needs a complete restoration.

Steve, without pictures you knew I was going say this :) I will take a guess here. If its truely 98% rustfree, factory black 1 owner truck, assuming its still complete and running I would say $7000 range.

He started out asking $13K a month ago. Now he's down to $9500. I was thinking if he got to $7500 I would fold like a picnic chair in a hurricane. You don't run across these every day, but dang, it takes a ton to bring these back.

Keith, I would to have a SWB one too, plus I like factory Black trucks.

I think $7,500 is about right. But,I'm sure there's a sucker who would pay more

So what's the status on this truck? Is it in your garage yet?

This is like trying to reel in a marlin on 10lb test line.

Got to wait the guy out and hope someone doesn't overpay for it before I do. :smoke:

I dont think you could get hurt if you had to pay the $9500. Your buying it to restore, not resell. Its so rare to come across an original piece. It would be a different story if you were $10,000 apart, but $2k is well within grasp. See if they guy would split the difference and jump on it!! If someone buys the truck, you will kick yourself in the butt because you knew it was a good deal and didnt buy it......

Yeah, it's not like you run across these every day. Lat chance I had to buy one of these was a couple years ago - a dark olive for $6500. Jenn kickin myself for a while on that one.

I think it is worth $9,500. There have been a few really nice factory Black Supers for $25-35k at Charlotte Auto Fair and the big auctions. $2,000 is really nothing in the grand scheme of things.

It's got some pinhole rust in the outer rockers, the right rear panel has been hit, original drive train AFAIK, no docs except for original title.

The cheapest way to get a really nice Super is to buy it already done. I prefer to do it myself because I know what's in it, and how it was done - plus the restoration process is the most fun part of the hobby.

We'll see. We both sticking to our guns.

Re: 1972 Cheyenne 10 Super SWB

It was for sale on eBay. Made it up to $9,700 and didn't make reserve. Bit of a surprise since he offered it to me for $9,500.

Sixteen bids, pretty strong, indicative of a pretty good market for real deal Supers.

I agree, buy the truck before it gets away. Offer him $8500.00 cash and go from there .

How much would it have to sell for on ebay, with all the fees,... to clear $9500?
