do blazer full length quarter panels exist

I'm looking for full lenght replacement panels for my 69 blazer custom. just wondering if they exist or if we'd have to piece them in.

Thanks!
David

I assume you mean rear bed sides. No. but some guys have cut down short bed bed sides.

Re: do blazer full length quarter panels exist

how much work is it to cut down a short box bedside? are you just cutting off the front portion or sectioning the whole thing to fit

Re: do blazer full length quarter panels exist

6 inches has to be removed from the front, alot of work but it sure would be worth it since you have a whole brand new bedside.

Re: do blazer full length quarter panels exist

Didn't VT do a build thread on shortening bedsides to fit?

IMO:You'll have more than that in two new swb bedsides before cutting them down.

Re: do blazer full length quarter panels exist

Does anyone know if either of these would work with a 72 blazer. I am mainly concerned with patchin the area at the very rear, including the taillight. The Price tag on these is much nice than the truck bedside in LMC

So buying the new complete short bed fleetside bedsides is an option? All that has to be done is cut off 6" from the front some other minor work to install and thats it to adapt on a Blazer? That sounds something worth doing if you have the cash available.

I just had to say it!
You would think the vendors or manufactures would list.
"BEDSIDES FOR FLEETSIDE SHORT BED P/U 67-72. WILL FIT BLAZER/JIMMY MODIFICATION NEEDED" I would think they could sell more of them. Alot of people will not buy something unless it specifically say's what they want to hear. In this case that it can fit a Blazer or Jimmy by some modification. It's one of those items that is not ment for a blazer/Jimmy but it can be made to fit.

What did you end up doing for the 'b' pillar area?

did you fill in the stake bed holes? (guessing you did)

Any pics?
Is there a "how to" thread anywhere?

Would be excellent info to post. :gi:

All of the exterior areas were in decent condition, most of the iiner area I had to rebuild. I am by no means a fabricator and not much of a welder, so as far as a "how to thread" probably not a good idea, but with a little patience I was able to come up with a decent looking side.Did fill stake pockets and cut in gas filler, trying to post befor and after pics

haha this reminds me of a family story! my dad had an old lady in a Ford back into his 72 K5 in the 90's and ordered a set of NOS blazer quarters through a GM dealer in Greenup Kentucky only to find that they were the "last pair" still in dealer hands in atleast our part of the country! that week we fielded several calls form people offering double what he paid for them but gladly they got put on his blazer!

SO IT WAS YOUR DAD THAT STOLE THEM RIGHT OUT FROM UNDER ME!!! Kidding, but I do wish I had that set. My neighbor supposedly got the last pair of NOS front fenders for a 69 Chevelle/El Camino from a dealer here in TX. I don't know if it's true or not, but they sure are puuurrdddy! He still hasn't put them on his car.
