Fold Down Rear Seat

Has anyone put a fold and flip rear seat from a later model Blazer in their 69-72. It seems I constantly need to unbolt my seat to carry large loads.

I put a rear seat out of a 02 Astrovan in mine. It doesn't flip but the back does fold flat against the seat.

My old Blazer had an s-10 rear seat. Not the best looking but it folded down.

The '78-up Blazer rear seats fold and tumble (see attached). This might be the way to go?

I was thinking about using a 3rd row seat out of a new suburban/tahoe. It folds, tumbles, and completely detaches without tools. It would match my front seats which are out of a 2000 Silverado. And it has 3-point seat-belts built in.

The 78 up is the way I would like to go. Just trying to see if someone has done it already. I searched yesterday but didn't find anything.

I am in the process of installing the seats (front / Rear) and center console out of a '91 Blazer.... The seats are great and will bolt in perfect, though I will need to drill all new holes since they don't match. As for the rear seat I think that I will be using 3 or 4 inch custom risers..... When I mocked up the seat flat on the floor it was to low.... I plan on keeping the fold-up option functional but the back risers will need a bar in the middle since the seat uses a bear-claw latch to stay attached. (Reference the '91 these bars were counter-sunk in the floor.) Not great for a full flat floor but better than nothing and I might use the space for a storage tray. (Jumper cables, tow strap, flares, chain...etc)

I will let you know how it comes out here in the next two to three weeks and will post pics and dimensions of risers.

I've got a rear seat from a '88 Suburban. I cut the mounts out of the floor of the 'Burb and welded them on the Fox. No bolts: it latches in. I welded the seatbelt stubs to the seat so all 3 seatbelts come out with it too. I can pop it out and leave it at home, or fold it, pop it out, and 'tumble' it up against the front seats. It's great for camping because you can pull it out and sit on it at the campsite.
