Drive line from long bed to short bed
OK so I’m going to be cutting my long wheel base to a short wheel base and I have a two piece drive line. So my question is Do I go to a single piece driveline when I shorten it and if I do what do I do about the driveline cross member? I Will be using the brothers shortening kit. I was thinking that I’m going to need to go to a single piece based on I’m running a 468 was probably about 500 horse and thought it might be a better idea just going to a single piece driveline any help and or tips much appreciated thank you

single drive line and I believe if I remember rite if you have the th 400 crossmember no need to do anything after installing your brothers short bed kit

Re: Drive line from long bed to short bed
I went with a one piece driveline after I shortened mine. It was around $300 and that everything new.

What did you do about the cross member? You know where your old two piece drive line went threw?

Re: Drive line from long bed to short bed
I took the carrier support out, don't remember if it was bolts or rivets. did a 4/6 drop and plenty of clearance around driveline running thru cross member

Re: Drive line from long bed to short bed
A few rivets and you can knock out the carrier support.
