Hit the scales! What do they weigh?
1 Attachment(s)
I was out cruising and decided to pull in the local grain elevator and weigh my 1 ton C30 panel truck. She weighed in at 4,860 lbs with about 50ish pounds of extras in it.
I didn't think that was too hateful considering how big it is. I'm running a tbi 350/4l80e combo. Also have metal floors compared to the original wood rear flooring. Anyone else weigh their truck? |
Re: Hit the scales! What do they weigh?
had to weigh my '65 Chevy C20 for CA registration
hit 4280lbs empty and only 1/2 tank of fuel.. severe rust and missing bed boards probably saved me a hundred lbs :hm: https://dl.dropbox.com/s/hmh7jupixi3...0bath.jpg?dl=0 https://dl.dropbox.com/s/o8r0e2dqnff...0slip.jpg?dl=0 |

Re: Hit the scales! What do they weigh?
Our trucks are really light for their size. I got the original weight numbers from GM Heritage when I was importing my truck and registering it.

Had to weigh mine for registration too. Little over 5,700 eight years ago. I think she's getting heavier with age too... like me!

Re: Hit the scales! What do they weigh?
I think its funny how much these weights can vary. You 4x4 and c20+ guys weighing in at 2.5 tons or more, yet there are a few of us in the 31-3700 range (a few even less).
My 66 with an Lq4, no inner fenders, aluminum front wheels, full audio custom interior, fuel cell etc should be around 3850 (unverified for a few more weeks at least). |
