Problem with user SUPERCHEVY, sold me NOS parts with damage

Bought a set of NOS hubcaps from superchevy and they have damage. He said in original ad that they only needed "mud removed" from a mud dobber that had soiled one hubcap. When the hubcaps arrived, one has the chrome bubbled in 3 different places on the center section. Pictures below but hard to capture accurately on the chrome. Actual hubcap is much worse than the pictures show.
I've sent two PM's to superchevy, he's told me to get lost and says I am trying to "scam him".
Board members should not be allowed to get away with this crap.
He owes me some compensation.
Any help from Administrators would be appreciated.

Thank you. It is hard to see the spot in the smaller picture. Can you email a bigger one to accounts@67-72chevytrucks.com

here are more pics, check area below the blue tape.

I removed the center section of the hubcap to reduce the glare and reflection.

Maybe you can see the " u " shape scratch etched into the chrome as well as the bubbling/distortion. If you can zoom or enlarge the pictures that may help also.

Its been a month and no reply from administrators .... so I've given up on hearing anything.

It's been another month, still nothing.

The admin folks ask for more info and then never say one word.

Guess they don't care.

If you bought used wheel covers I think they look pretty good. If they were advertised as NOS you might have a complaint. OEM means original equipment from manufacturer it doesn't mean mint new part. NOS means new old stock meaning never used on a vehicle.

They were a set of NOS hubcaps.

I understand the acronyms OEM and NOS.

I also now understand that if you buy a damaged part on this website, the administrators wont do anything about it.

If sold as NOS I would expect damage free also, unless damage described previous to sale. I feel that the website is to help people get together with like interest and help make contacts or connections. Whereas the website makes nothing from any transactions other than giving you an opportunity to post your displeasure they really have no responsibility. Just my opinion I understand you may feel differently. The damage as I can see it in the pics is pretty minor and if not pointed out I don't think anyone but you would ever notice it. But I am not as fussy as some. I would still feel your problem is with seller than website.

That's the problem with the NOS label most think it means pristine old parts and it doesn't, what is does mean is I have had this OEM part on my shelf for over 20 years and it has the usual shelf wear. With NOS you should expect shelf wear and other minor flaws. If minor flaws were not discussed then may be you have a case , if you didn't ask about defects maybe not, but you should always expect NOS to have some defect from age and moving it around the store or shop. NOS parts can have rust flash over, kicks, dings and minor dents if its a panel, it only means they are old production parts, it has no meaning as to quality. NORS is another misconstrued label. Its the same definition for aftermarket old parts and not meant as a quality label

Wouldn't it be nice to mention any defects on any parts Nos or used in the " for sale" add?
A simple accurate description just might end a lot of negative posts on this forum

Yeah, many assume perfect condition when they see N.O.S. listed. Well, Larry knows better. He knows what the "O" stands for. N.O.S. is a new unused part, but it is also old. That's why a description should accompany all sales of anything. These hubcaps were described, as mentioned in first post, as only needing a mud dobber's blotch removed. In other words, no issues with condition at all, only a dirty spot. Makes you wonder why that spot wasn't cleaned before taking pictures and listing for sale. No need to wonder now.

I actually bought a floor shift tilt column from the same member 12 years ago that turned out to be converted, but I never complained about the misrepresentation.
