About to order wheels for my 67, backspacing?

Hey Guys.

I'm about to order a set of Ridler 695s (20x8.5 front, 20x10 rear). I know several of you are running Ridlers so wanted to get some feedback.

Currently I have 18x8 fronts and 19x10 rear Intros with a 5.5" backspace and 1/2" spacer on each side, and 285 45 19s. I want to get away from spacers if possible, and run a 295 out back

It looks like only backspace is available for 20x10 ridlers (and 20x8.5) in the 5x5 pattern, so everyone has 5.5" (0 offset) rear and 4.75" (0 offset) front. My rear end is only 62" flange to flange. Is anyone else running this narrow of arear, and just using spacers? Has anyone comfortably ran 295/40/20s in a factory wheel tub in back? I'm also trying to decide between 245/45 or 255/45 up front, so open to any suggestions.

Any feedback appreciated! I wish the backspace options were more than "this is what you get", as I like the wheels for the price otherwise. Thanks in advance!

Check out the link below. Hit the search box and click Chevy trucks not google. Seems like everyone running a 10" wheel either has a different bs, spacers, changed to the wider rear or tubbed.

Thanks a lot for those! I'm all decided.
Going with nitto 555s 245/45/20 on 20x8.5 4.75" bs up front
295/40r20 on 20x10 5.5" bs in back. I'll have to make some spacers on the cnc lathe, I think .75" per side. This will hold me over until I order forgelines and get wider wheel housings in the rear and can get exactly what is right for that rear end.
Thank you again.

im running ridlers at the sizes your looking at on a 70 fleetside with the wider of the 12 bolt rear ends. 57" backing plate to backing plate

running 275/40/20... i think there is enough room for 295/40 but again this is the wider rear end.

axle width is 55.5 wide with 30.5 long axles on the narrow rear end. earlier rear end
axle width is 57 wide with 31 5/16 long axles on the wider rear end. later rear end

That website is pretty dang cool, I'm going to have to bookmark that.
Up front I'm running ridetech strongarms and cpp drop spindles/big disc package so everything should be fine up there. The 245/45s should buy me a little bit of extra room but still be able to have some sidewall.

I'll have to make some spacers for the rear but shouldn't be a big deal. Once I get them in I'll get some measurements to try to get everything where it needs to be.

Thanks a lot for the feedback!

This is the width and height when mounted of a 20x10 5.5bs with a 295/40/20 Nitto 555 on a rider 650 wheel. The bottom looks crooked but its to show how I took the measurements. Width on rim is 11 9/16" height is actually a little over 28 3/4"

Alright cool, we should be good then. My only complaint is one backspace option for these.

Just an update for if it helps anyone in the future. Currie sells two width crate rear ends. I have the 67-70early 62-1/8" wide one (late 70-72 crate rear is 63-5/8 wide between mounting surfaces), otherwise I would probably be spot on in the backspace ridler offers for these with 5x5 pattern. I'm going to machine some 3/4" spacers and it should give me about 1/2" inner wheel well clearance per side. That would put me exactly 63 5/8" anyway, so numbers work out fine. I wish I could have gotten a 4.75" backspace instead and gotten a little more dish in the rear, but these will do fine until I order some forgelines later in the build.

I like them. I'm back and forth on if I should go with a 35 AR rear tire instead of a 40, but it's fine for now. I had 18x8 up front and 19x10 rear before, so the front looks quite a bit bigger.

Final sizes are: Ridler 695 series 20x8.5 4.75" backspace with 245/45r20 up front, 20x10 5.5" backspace with 295/40r20 in rear (nitto 555)
