1980 Paint- Advise Needed

Hey fellas-
So after a couple years of tinkerin’ and fixin’, my 80 C20 finally seems reliable. I am now ready to begin the cosmetic process. This truck is 100% OEM and I want to keep it that way- specifically no respray.

Question: is it possible for a very reputable detailer to dramatically enhance the dull/rough paint? If so, what should I specifically request of them and what’s a reasonable cost?

Not sure about the cost, but I'm pretty sure that the paint can be enhanced by a pro detailer.

Clay, buff and wax. I’m pretty pleased

I just happened to see this. I detail on the side. And I would have suggested Clay Bar, Polish and then Wax. But what you did, turned out good. ClayBar and Polish really cleans up the paint and brings out the shine. Polishing also can correct some paint issues, such as surface scratches and swirl marks. And then wax protects everything that was done.
Your truck looks better, good job:metal:
