"OK, Lets face it, COOL is the name of the game today! And whats cooler than a Supercharged engine? Right!, Nothing. Our scoop gives your vehicle that fully blown supercharged look without the 8K Price$$ Sure it would be nice to have a real one. But hey! we are not all RICH ya know! Plus when all those guys with real ones are stopping at every gas station on the strip, You'll be cruzing! with that same sharp look they have. Also you dont have to damage your hood drilling holes, because our scoop mounts with double sided 3M tape. You've got groundeffects, You've got the wing! Now! take the next step with the POWER SCOOP! We are proud to offer this fantastic new product!"

It might be a funny joke for $10, but $175?

Slonaker, you must not visit the GD board...that was posted the other day. :D

still amazes me people make and buy this stuff.

BADGMC 04-15-2004 03:57 PM

Next to the big hood scoops and rear wings some of the stock imports where I live that has got to be the biggest waste of money I have ever seen. And not to mention the fact that all it will do is make more wind resistance. A real blower is better anyday.:D :burnout:

Apparently not, since I don't know what a GD board is... :D

Slonaker

Oh, looking at the list at the top of the page I see "General Discussion" listed. That must be what you are talking about.

Can't see paying anything close to that price...

rocktriviagod 04-15-2004 05:39 PM

ten bucks would be a good price. for a plastic blower... Back in high school a buddy of mine painted a black square in the middle of the hood of his Chevelle.Than bolted a 4 bbl carb and chrome air cleaner..to the HOOD !! Actually, it looked kind of cool. But than again, I was 16 years old..

shavedchevy 04-15-2004 06:10 PM

I think that's something that "Joe Dirt" might like:D Hood scoops are one thing.... that piece of junk is another thing though:barf:

rocktriviagod 04-15-2004 06:24 PM

JOE DIRT ! That's a good one..... put one of those blowers on a Plymouth Superbird and you'd have a serious ride.....

8t5Silverado 04-15-2004 07:00 PM

GD = General Discussion

That thing seems to be a hazard. Imagine some DB having that taped onto is car in front of you and it flying off!

85Silverado 04-15-2004 08:36 PM

omg...i will laugh my ass off if i see one of them things on an import! They tend to like the things that make their cars look faster then they are..lol

The Dude 04-15-2004 08:42 PM

i actually think it is kinda cool. definatley not something i would pay $175 for, maybe $20. i think it would be hilarious to put on some junk car. maybe an old honda with a coffee can for an exhaust tip and a cardboard wing and bodykit.

silverado_ss03 04-15-2004 11:21 PM

Just picturing it flying of the hood of a Honda at 55 m.p.h. and hitting the trooper or city cop behind him is hilarious!

ocbaud 04-15-2004 11:59 PM

wanna pull money together to get it for me to put on my geo storm?

eamims 04-16-2004 12:39 AM

Wait a second! Are you telling me I spent $18,000 on my Ferrari engine upgrade for nothing?????

gchemist 04-16-2004 11:13 AM

I'm thinking of getting a blower!!\

southernmutt33 04-16-2004 01:31 PM

it doesnt suprise me that they make somthing like this, what suprises me is there are actually people out there that will buy this junk.....im not into hood scoops either, unless you have something under other than a stock motor...im not into imports, unless its the toyata mr2 first an second generation, my old one show 240,000 miles on the odometer an would run 140 all day long....not that i actually went that fast, not me never :bs:...

Stingray42 04-17-2004 01:41 AM

I still want on for the lawn tractor..

87 Shortwide 04-17-2004 03:37 AM

That item popped up on a local forum I frequent...I chopped it onto my buddies SRT-4 Neon already for ****s and grins :p

plumbcut 04-17-2004 04:12 AM

87 Shortwide-- should have mounted it sideways since the FWD car has a transversely mounted engine :)

Blue Beard 04-17-2004 09:22 AM

Still looks like a toy..........

Even mounted that way from a distance will make some people think....especially ones that don't know anything about cars...

HAHAHAHHAHHAHA:bs:

COBALT 04-26-2004 05:19 PM

That has got to be the dumbest thing I've ever seen....of course some idiot would think it was cool and use mommy and daddy's money to buy it.

Seriously, I was laughing for 30 minutes when I first saw this. I'll be out on the look-out for these on cars...
