How do you easily fold down a Softopper?
 

This may seem like a simple task, but I’ve struggled for years putting the top down neatly and getting it to fit into the supplied bag. I’ve tried removing from the back first and also tried to take the front down first but this top always fights me especially when I’m alone. Does anyone have a good way of doing this without using 20 cuss words ?

I saw that on their website, but still pretty vague. The biggest issue I have with mine is that I can't fully retract the arms that hold the top because it hits my roll bar. In order for me to drive topless, I must completely remove the top which is a bit of a pain.

I fold mine by the instruction on the Softtopper website....it folds neatly into the rear cargo area...I have a roll bar as well

I have the same problem with my soft topper. The center bow ( which amounts to the rear pivot point ) does not clear my roll bar. So, I typically have the top on all the time. I did not like that the side panels always had to be rolled up. So I found a canvas guy to take the side panels off and put zippers on them to remove them. Turned out pretty well. I have the rear panel and the two side panels rolled up and have them stored under the rear seat just in case :-).

I love that idea. That is the way that they should have been made - just like boat side curtains that zip in. I like the top up with the rear and sides rolled up. Lots of air and no sun beating on your head and upholstery.
