My first 72 blazer
5 Attachment(s)
I have always been a pick up man, but ran across this and thought it needed rescued. It had been in the same family since mid 90's, and hasn't been driven much for about the last 10 years, But he kept tinkering with it. Tires still had part of the stickers on them, carb had been rebuilt a few months ago and new spark plugs. It has the usually rust underneath-needs a lot of love under there, but will clean up nice and look good going down the road. Seems pretty sold mechanically. Interior needs redone, but someone did add tilt. He said it wasn't for sale, and I accepted the challenge.

Very nice. Congratulations, and welcome to the club. Blazers are a ton of fun.

Nice find. How’s the interior?

Re: My first 72 blazer
Congratulations on the new Blazer - lots of good stuff on that one! Glad everything worked out and you can get it back on the road again.

Re: My first 72 blazer interior. CST?

Interior is mostly all there, but needs refurbished. What makes this a CST? I see the emblem on the outside of the glove box door, but not anywhere else?

Looks like white paint peeking through on the step face? nice.
There should be (or once were) CST emblems on the doors as well. Here’s the list of CST features. |
Re: My first 72 blazer
I don’t see the recess for the door screws under the vent windows - maybe the original doors were replaced?

Re: My first 72 blazer
Definitely, I’d love to drive that. My point is replaced doors could explain the absence of CST emblems per owners question in post #11.

Re: My first 72 blazer
Oh, yeah. Absolutely. But there's also the possibility they left the factory without them... there were some strange things that happened back in those days. I worked at a Chevy dealership in the mid-70s and we'd sometimes gather around a vehicle and scratch our heads about what had just rolled in.

Re: My first 72 blazer
You found a good one, looks solid. You'll be surprised how well that paint will polish up too. Good luck with it
