Suburban fuel sending unit

Any recommendations for a new fuel sending unit? Not sure I want to put the 50 year old one back in the tank before dropping the body back on the frame.

Thanks

Paul

I took my old one out inspected it and reinstalled it. Not a lot of wear items on it. Plus I knew it to be accurate. If your tank is clean inside then most likely it hasn't been exposed to corrosion. If your concerned replace the float. It really isn't a big deal to drop the tank and replace it if you have to. It took me about 30 minutes to have the tank on the ground and another 30 to get it cleaned up and pull the sender. I pulled it out since the fuel supply tube to the engine was leaking and needed resoldered. The sock was fairly clean and a little compressed air took care of was there. I did a resistance check with a ohm meter and it was all nice and smooth. ( photo shows a digital meter but I also used a analog meter to check it also. The analog meter will show a bad spot more readily.) If yours looks like mine go for it.
