Hey Peoples, It's been a while but i have some update pics for ya. I replaced the front end with a 3/4 ton DANA 44 but some air head switched the 8 lug hubs for 6 :sumo: . But now its packing 7 1/2 inches more of ride hight then when i bought it 454 turbo 400 tranny. I am currently in the process of putting a doubler np203/ DANA 20 tranfercase 4:56 gears. I think it will be just sick in 4 low and doubled down:metal: so let me know what you think and I love this site :metal::metal::metal::metal::metal:

I thought this was supposed to be a thread for PICTURES of CREW CABS. Not a build thread.
Isn't there a seperate sub forum for that?

"simulates" a chrome wheel. I believe this is where the name came from.

Apparently it's "handmade" from another kit.

Its a custom done Rc starts life with a tamiya high lux kit, pick up two clod buster chevy bodys, little cuttin some glue thats what you end up with, the dually finders are a custom made piece shape a piece of wood and make a fiberglass mold, I'm building one myself

I just had to say man I love that mismatched paint job. On a real truck it would irritate me until it was painted to match, but for that replica, it is just so perfectly authentic! Way cool.

I saw the Fast and Furious truck this past week in Branson MO. Best part of the whole trip! It was sitting at a mechanic shop getting all the lights hooked up and gauges working to be street legal. You could buy it for 80k if you wanted. Just thought id share

That's cool!!
what engine and trans does it have in it?

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

wonder how they arrived at $80k? I mean it isn't the General Lee or the Batmobile. I don't get the singles on the back. Anything they gained with a second axle they lost by using those tires instead of duals. I have a friend with a reg cab GMC that he made into a 10 wheeler, looks way better than that.
Sorry, I just don't get that truck. And those have to be the most ineffective towing mirrors I've seen. Wasn't that truck supposed to be driven backwards?

Who here couldn't build a lot better truck with $80 grand?

X2

They want 80k because it was in a movie. Anybody have any pictures of the suspension or the power plant? Clearly the interior doesn't add to the 80k price tag!

If it has some money under the hood and a really off the wall air ride suspension then maybe 15k

Do we even know if this is the truck where both rear axles are drive axles. The video said they built 3 of these and one had both rear axles actually driven.

I'm willing to bet for 80k it's the one that drives both.

Honestly i was too excited to see the truck i didnt even think about popping the hood until after i left. I did look under the back of it and it appeared to be driving both rear axles. It had two parallel four links with panhard bars. I noticed the N.O.S tanks were dummies. The back frame looked exactly like the movie that was posted and the rear axle had a finned rear cover.
