Electric Blue? What color paint are these trucks?

I'm looking for the color of these trucks and a paint code. I know these may be slightly different colors, but I've heard there may be a color called Electric Blue that really pops when you see it. Can anyone help me out with this- particularly the 1st Blazer:

I can tell you about the Blazer. I picked that color from a mid 90's Geo Tracker, Metro or Storm. It is called LIGHT COMPETITION BLUE.

Re: Electric Blue? What color paint are these trucks?

Hey Brad:
I would call the color of the 5th pic, the '67 fleetside, "Maui Blue." That's what color my '71 Jimmy is painted. [Aftermarket by the PO's father-in-law over the original GMC Bronze] But it is a GM metallic shade. No code number, though.
The first K/5 w/ the '68 clip looks Turquoise to me. It was popular in the '50s, and was a regular GM color.
The other '72 fleetside, in the showroom, I would call "Baby Blue." Probably GM called it Light Blue. a regular factory color. I have a '72 Blazer project in the back forty that's that original shade.
Of course these are my interpretations based on what these colors look like on my 17" laptop. Seeing something in real life and open sunlight could be another matter.

I don't know the name of it but it's close to mine. The 4th pic down is the color I want to paint my project truck.

My 68 GMC was a light blue color. I'm considering painting the original color. I believe it was called "Light Blue".

Here's a color that matches the 4th pic down... It's from this site:

That Karisma Blue is about the color I want for the stripes on my Z/28. It will be black with Karisma Blue stripes.

Re: Electric Blue? What color paint are these trucks?

That is alot of names for pretty much the same color. I guess each paint manufacturer has to make the color and call it something different.......I guess it is Light Karisma Maui Sky Azura Blue if you ask me.

Check out Sacto Jim's truck. His color is a 'vette color, I believe. Beautiful truck.

I emailed www.classiccarstudio.com and asked them about the truck in the showroom up top.
KevsClassics- thanks for the info. I'm going to go down to the paint store and take a look at it.

1LoC10- that's another good looking option that I'll consider- even though it's a F*rd color. ;)

See ten- what is the paint code on that truck? GM color?

greens69- thanks, although it's a beautiful color on a beautiful truck- now that I look at an un-PS'd pic, I see that it's not the color for me. Thanks for that second, less glossy pic.

68gmsee- thanks for that comparison. I've seen their website, but with all the colors I've looked at lately, I never made that connection. I'll take another look at their paint and colors.

That was quick!
Hi Brad,

Thanks for your email. Unfortunately, as this was a custom truck, and we did not do the restoration, we have no way of knowing the paint code that was used.

The only paint used by Chevy from factory in '72 that looks close is 2329: Mediterranean Blue, but I can not be certain that this truck was that color specifically. Sorry I could not be of more help, and best of luck with your project.

Kind Regards,
-Nick

I'd appreciate it. I'm curious if that's the original 1967 507 light blue. I don't think it is. Anyway, I reeeeeally like it.

Re: Electric Blue? What color paint are these trucks?

Mopar has an interesting metallic color called "Ultra Blue." It's a little deeper than the Maui/ Hawaii Blue. Perhaps closer to the Electric Blue ideal.

I believe I used 1967 507 light blue on my truck and it matches the first pictures of the blazer and See Ten's truck. I will make sure and also post a picture later.
