After 9 months of jumping through many, many hurdles it is alive. And it runs amazing. Saturday I rode it 120 miles and used 2.5 gallons.

Another one back on the road! Good job.

Wife was talking about buying a bike over the weekend. Both of us grew up riding, I started at six and she at about the age of 10.

Congratulations. It's looking good.

I have a friend with darned near the same bike and he rides the wheels off of it.

What was wrong with it?

Spun the rod bearings on rear cylinder. Only 15,000 miles on it. I know a good machine shop, they saved the crankshaft

When I got the bike in February it was torn apart and stuffed in boxes. That was a real challenge figuring out how it goes together and in what order. Kind of tough since I have zero experience with motorcycles

Parts in boxes? Wow that is an accomplishment. I've never had any luck with stuff that was torn apart. Even if I was the guy that tore it apart.

It's easy to tear stuff down but not so easy to put it back together.

There's always that one part that you look at and think "Where in the heck did this come from"
