Rear bumper gap fix

I bought a new chrome sport bumper from LMC and it has the couple inch gap between it and the bed, showing the bumper braces. What ways are you all moving up the bumper closer to the bed of the truck? Are you just moving the arms forward and drilling new holes in the frame?

I saw this on the "West Texas Z" build on the first page, so I was looking for an explanation. Thanks guys

I remember reading something somewhere about a filler panel that fit in that void. I have never seen one on a pickup so I checked on a burb and sure enough! You can see it shown in this picture from LMC.

You can tuck the rear bumper by slotting the holes where the brackets mount up and slotting the holes in the brackets themselves. That way, when you get just a little bump on the bumper you will be sure to dent the bedside. (sorry, is just how I look at things)
The stock sport bumpers on the trucks are supposed to have a stone shield, left and right, that act as a filler of sorts. You can sort of see them in this photo, they are silver in color.

I took a filler piece off a burb from a local junk yard but wanted to move the bumper forward almost two inches like the build thread i referenced. Has anyone else done this?

Yeah, it is a simple matter of unbolting the bumper from the frame, and redrilling all the mounting holes forward the distance you want to move the bumper. Not hard at all.
