August 2012 TOTM
The theme for August’s Truck of the Month contest is.
Summer Haul! A little different, but this month’s theme is what do we pull or haul with our trucks to enjoy our summer. So to see what it takes to be a nominee this month, the truck will need to meet these criteria:
To Nominate: You or someone else may nominate the vehicle. The nominee must be a board member and the current owner of the truck. Once you decide on who you wish to nominate, just add your nomination to this thread. We will need two pictures minimum (at least one full view of the vehicle) with/for the nomination as well as the owner’s board name, the year of the truck, and any other specs of the truck (interior details, engine/drive train specs) that you may want to provide. Nominees will run through July 24. The first 15 nominees that meet the criteria will participate in the contest. I will PM the nominees to get any additional data or pictures if they have not already been provided. As stated above, the picture must show the vehicle hauling or pulling another toy (boat, RV, car, ATV, etc…). If the owner has a preferred picture they want used in the contest, please let me know in a PM. You can PM me for an e-mail address in case anyone has problems resizing the pictures for the board. A Poll Thread will be set up by July 25 in this board area and an announcement will be posted on the Discussion Boards to notify all that voting has begun. The Poll will run thru the morning of August 1 and the official announcement of the winner will be on the afternoon of August 1. The announcement of the TOTM winner will be posted through the General Discussion Board area. |

This is a great new topic. I can't resist. No matter how many times I see them, the "hauling" pics never get old. And people just seem to REALLY appreciate it when they see an old truck doing something it was designed to do.

I don't know who it was or where I saw this, but I once saw a picture of a guy's medium blue 69-72 blazer (same color as my k5) with a matching single-horse trailer he had restored. I don't even know if he's on the forum...if anyone knows who I'm talking about, let me know. I'd totally nominate him.
