Can you identify what year this is from
I have a 67 step side that has been converted to 5x5 hubs all the way around, and it has also had disc brakes fitted to the front. I assume that it is a 72 cross member but cant be certain. It does have the larger ball joints if that helps. I need to order some upper arms but cant identfiy what year..
Can anyone identify what I have from the pictures ? I know it may be a long shot but I have my fingers crossed My trouble is I cant just order parts and quickly return them if I have the wrong year as I'm in the UK and some vendors want 5 times the cost of a part in shipping alone, it can make it very expensive so I would like to get it right first time if I can. Re: Can you identify what year this is from
it is possible to be anything from 71 thru 87, including the cross member. On my last 70 I just change ball joints and spindles from a 78 and bolted them to the 70 A-arms. for your rear unless they got aftermarket axles, they probably put in a 70 or later rear end to get the five lugs.
IT won't let me see your attachment photos. |
Re: Can you identify what year this is from
pics wont open but if someone installed a 73 and up crossmember the upper control arm bushings will be rubber...72 and down used a shaft with threaded metal bushings...i put a 75 xmember in my 70 40 yrs ago, before aftermarket disc setups existed...
