When you say correct badging what do you mean? (Sorry, pretty new to the squarebody scene) also what are the odds of it being an original short bed? Wouldn’t a c20 generally be a long bed? Again, I’m new to your village, please go easy!

c = 2wd
k = 4wd

short beds only in 1/2 ton i have ever seen or read about unless custom built .

and this thing has a few red flags already . the 1 being who ever built this thing didnt know jack squat about engines . notice the overflow nipple is plugged off and no hose or jug to catch the fluid ? ? ? to me if they miss this simple known to all automotive people fact what else is there half a$$ed together on this truck .

next is oil pressure gauge line hanging in mid air . maybe it was a early pic not finished yet . . ? ?

Ahh yes. Duh! K20 not c20. Even I know that one... However badging doesn't actually say "C or K", just "Custom Deluxe 20". If it were properly badged would it read K20?

And yeah the short bed 20 thing adds confusion. Seller lists it as a "1974 Chevy Truck 4x4 with 3/4 ton suspension camper special"... As far as I know the "Camper Special" option was only available on C/K20'S and 30's, which in turn, were not available as short beds. Also, seeing the square fuel door is a pretty dead giveaway for a replaced bed. Probably chopped LB to a SB...Hmmm...
I reached out to the seller, trying to get some answers here. I do recall seeing this one for sale a while back with a higher price, another red flag. We'll see what the seller says, but it sure is Purty! :)

Re: Post your C/L finds here for all to see

Ok got the scoop
Originally a 2wd Long Bed 3/4 Camper special. Converted to short bed by previous owner back in 80’s. Dropped cab and new bed on short bed 4x4 frame. Carried over alll running gear 14 Bolt, hd springs, hd drum brakes etc. No cut frame, but rather full swap. new owner did refresh.

Says currrently pending sale. Anyways. Cool rig, not original but cool nonetheless. Probably couldn’t build it for 12k...

Re: Post your C/L finds here for all to see

then thats a good fair story he should have posted with it i think .

and yes not going to build it just in parts to that level for 12k .

Sounds like it needs someone who can diagnose and repair a TBI system instead of carb swapping it back to the stone age.

It's still a square body. Blazer, Suburban and V/R 30's remained squares untill 91. :metal:
