Hey guys, I have been a member on the truck forum but recently purchased this 69 4X4 Suburban. Started working on her and want a lift. Yes, I did search for about an hour but I cant decide on a lift size, Not wanting anything over 4 but thinking 2 might be the way to go. I am getting to old to have to climb in a truck. lol Van you sow me lift size and tire diameter. This is probably one of the most ask questions I know but bare with me. Thanks

Welcome to the Suburban side. It can be a little slow on here at times so hang in there. I have never lifted a Suburban so I can't help you there, but I don't think it can be that much different than a pickup.

Looks like a good project. The 4x4's can be pretty hard to find.

I went through the same thing several years ago and landed on a 2" lift. More than that and it would be a real PITA to get in and out of. I'm not that old, but hope I will be and don't want to have to sell my baby.

I am running 30x9.5R15 as those are the largest tires that will perform well on the original 15x6 rims I have.

2" Suspension lift kit (EZ-Ride w/ rear springs) from sdtrucksprings.com was $908.06 all in Jan 2015.
