I hope I'm not starting to bore you guys, but you know the scenario, I'm minding my own business doing sudoku and the phone rings, "Rene I have a truck you might want to see" you get the picture I'm sure, ;) sooooooo lets cut to the chase!!!! I end up driving 100 miles and picking up a 1972 short fleet, super clean with one repaint a loooooong time ago and no rust other than slight surface scratches, a once a upon a time "Plain Jane" 6 cyl. 3 speed truck that had a nice face lift with a Hearst shifter added on the floor, power steering, a factory tach (never had a 6cyl. tach before :)) and some funny looking "broke back" seats and unfortunately a dented front bumper (easy fix) :mm:. Enjoy :chevy:

That's really nice. What's wrong with the seat? It looks OK imo. What do you plan to do with it? I have an open bay.

That seat is incorrect for that model and the wheels are non-original. I hope you didn't pay too much

Yeah, C10King. What a pile. What is wrong with you?

Just kidding. I really like it.

When you say the dent in the bumper is an easy fix, is that because you're going to replace the bumper, or because you'll fix it? I just got an original bumper at the junk yard that I shined up really well, but it does have a dent under where the license plate mounts. I plan to heat up the back side with a heat gun, and pound it out with a heavy rubber mallet. Is that your plan, or is there a better way?

Good looking truck, and if you lost the bed cover, put some different wheels on and lowered it it'd be even better

An easy fix, because my cousin has one laying in his back yard.

Yeah, the bed cover is coming off and this rebuilt drive train is heavenly, does not leak one drop of oil and did not tach out past 28 RPM at 70 climbing the pass.
