A/C blower motor relay

Excuse my ignorance, this thought just came to me and didn’t find anything In a search.

Is there any benefit to replacing the AC blower motor relay with a Bosch style SPST relay?

They both work in the same manner so as far as one better than the other I doubt it other than the fact your talking 50 years of technology.

I trust a 50 year old relay to work another 50 years and probably outlast a new Chinese relay. GMC Pauls sells a USA made replacement relay for that position.

Sounds good, I know the brown wires on the AC systems are notorious for getting hot and didn’t know if by adding a Bosch style relay if that would alleviate that problem.

Well since the relay is used for the high speed fan position, I would expect the brown wire would run nice and cool with the fan on high speed. Perhaps it could be warm in the low and medium speed positions. I haven't heard of the notorious hot brown wire before, but I know my fan switch connector was melted and fan switch was bad before I replaced those 2 parts.
