This is a scam. It has been Thoroughly discussed in the the Craigslist finds thread. It keeps on getting flagged.

Just a few details, pretty close to factory correct.

LT1 Burb. For the body colour painted underside of your cab, did you use regular clear coat or some other protective clear?

Epoxy sealer, raptor liner, base, and then regular clear.

OK, for those of you that have an Oil Bath Air Cleaner, (of a fake one like I do) we found a source for the CORRECT oem decal. folks though it was something from AC Delco, but with some research, we found that the decal comes from the "United Air Cleaner Division".

You can get a re-pop from:
Studebaker International in Indiana at 317-462-3124.
Part number 3-014 total $6.00

United Oil Bath Air Cleaners was the company that provided the unit to GM Truck Division. They also provided them for many cars and trucks.

Thanks for this!! You noted you have a "fake" one. What does that mean? I ask because I recently finished my '60 and had the Oil Bath Air Cleaner powder coated to make it look great, but I don't dare run the engine with it in place because of all the loose stuff inside of it. Ideas? Suggestions?

Anyone know of a source for the three clips at the top of the firewall that hold windshield washer hose and A/C wire? Mine were lost at the body shop and boneyards in NE Indiana are no longer an option. At the very least can someone post a few close-up pictures of a clip with measurements? I may be able to bend my own.

Hi Sub, I should have been more clear. I decided NOT to actually use OIL inside of the old bath air cleaner, so I gutted it and am using a dry paper element inside and in place of the steel mesh.

I have a GMC, but from everything we can find, the decal is for both units. up to a certain period. a club member had an unused assembly and it has the decal in near perfect condition.

Its GMC .. ONLY ! Only GMCs used the United Oil Bath brand air cleaners. Chevrolets all used AC brand air cleaners. Still unable to confirm this is the exact decal for 1960 1961 GMC , but its definitely 1962-1966 GMC.

This 1966 truck has just under 19K original miles. I spoke to the 70-something year old owner. EVERYTHING is original EXCEPT the exterior paint and hub caps, (and maybe not tires). It's a shame it was repainted with so few miles.

Of primary interest is the engine bay and original gray 283 paint color.
