Fleetside bed mat

Hi. I'm looking a bed mat that would fit a 66 C10 fleetside. I have a short bed, but I can cut down anything that would fit.

Has anyone tried a 67-72 mat in a 60-66 fleetside? It's tough to find dimensions of truck beds, not just L x W but where the wheel arches are, or id just compare measurements.

I read posts about mold growing under mats, but this is for temporary use for hauling stuff.

Also, if you don't use a bed mat, what do y'all do to protect the bed wood when you're hauling stuff? Sheet of plywood, cardboard...?

Thanks for reading, and for any ideas.

Maybe consider a "horse stall matt"? Cut to form

nice looking truck...

as far as temp use - like 88 Stanger said - Tractor Supply had some thick (3/4 in) rubber 6ft x4.5 foot mats for like $20 not too long ago

you might even be able to get some carpet remnants - you could even put the carpet side down to not damage the wood.

or a few refrigerator boxes?

Since I couldn't find a custom sized mat I just went with the one from Summit Racing. It fits from the cab to the tailgate and between the wheel wells.

Those are 4' x 6' x 3/4" so you'd need to buy two of them and seam them at the center of the bed. They're also 123 pounds each. Current price is $55 each.

The edges aren't exactly cut clean so you'd have to use a straight edge if you wanted a clean seam... not hard to do with a utility knife and a new blade, it just takes multiple passes.

I put 60-66 long bed sides on a 67-72 long bed steel floor. Used the 60-66 wheel tubs. Every bolt lined up perfectly. If you can source a 67-72 mat, I think it'll work for 60-66.

Please let us know what you end up doing. I've been throwing a moving blanket in when hauling other 60-66 parts, but would like to find something more durable for when I want to haul some heavier things. It would be nice to have a mat that's light enough to remove easily when not hauling so the bed wood, arguably the nicest part of my entire truck, can be visible

Great ideas. Much appreciated. Especially good to know the 67-72 sides bolted up. With that in mind, I may try the Holley 67-72 mat and see how it fits...if the Tractor Supply mats aren't still on sale.

Either way, I'll report back. Thanks

Yea i dont think anyone sells a bed mat for 60-66 trucks.. best bet would be to make a 67-72 mat work.. or another option is look on Facebook marketplace for 4 x 8 gym mats.. people usually sell em for $30-40 dollars and they are thick..just an idea..
