Re: Auxilary input??
need more info, what are you trying to do, where did you hear about it, what's it supposed to be for?
|
Re: Auxilary input??
something that is on the cassette player. It says in the manual: Insert a standard 3.5 mm(audio line output or head phone output) plug it into the auxiliary input to listen to a portable CD or media player.
I HOPE SOMEONE KNOWS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT |
Re: Auxilary input??
1 Attachment(s)
yup, i know exactly what your talking about. its where you can hook a external device like a ipod/mp3 palyer and such. you need a cable with a connector the same size as headphones have on both ends. like this pic.

Re: Auxilary input??
Check your junk drawer. If you ever bought a VCR, DVD, or CD player it may have come with a pair. I have 15 or so laying in a drawer right now.

Re: Auxilary input??
I thought you were trying to find one to install on the tape player.
if you can't find one at the places listed, radio shack should be able to get it if they don't have it on hand. |
Re: Auxilary input??
Radio Shack also carries them. But they're expensive. Walmart audio/video section will have them also.

Re: Auxilary input??
It`s past the food court and to the right past the lingerie and Hot Wheels ay Walmart.I have a junk drawer, too.I thought everyone did.I have an electronics junk drawer.:D

Re: Auxilary input??
:agree: Radio Shack should have them.
|
Re: Auxilary input??
Yep radio shack will have them. Make sure you get stereo plugs, not mono plugs though. Go back & check out the pic above again. Notice there are 2 black stripes on them, those are stereo plugs (left & right)...

Re: Auxilary input??
I got a belkin one today at walmart and it sucks bigtime. When I turn the volume up on the cassete player it has too much bass then, I cut the bass off and then it sounds weak. IS there a better brand??? I'm thinking on taking it back and get my money back.
|
Re: Auxilary input??
It`s just wires..Sounds like low fidelity from incompatability of poorly matched componentry possibly an issue with ohm mismatchment it may be that the auxilary component`s ohm value exceeds that of the head unit or the speakers maybe
|
Re: Auxilary input??
It's most likely your radio or the speakers, not the belkin cord/wire.
When you spend $20-30 for a cassette player, you shouldn't expect a lot out of it. You get what you pay for. Quote:

Re: Auxilary input??
I have a cassete adaptor and it sounds pretty good but the the belkin cord doesn't.
|
Re: Auxilary input??
adaptors can cause lost fidelity especially if the heads need cleaned or demagnetized and most people never demagnetize either. It will sound muffled which is poor fdelity and not bass.
