AD on s10 chassis wheel sizes

Hi
Have a 52 AD on s10 with airride. What size wheels are a good fit. I assume id be safe with 18" but how about 20? And what is proper backspacing and tires size... i dont like too skinny of a sidewall on tires.

Thanks!

if you are bagged, you need to be sure to get wheels identical in overall diameter to what you have now, because the suspension is made to droop a fixed and specific amount. smaller diameter wheels will result in overinflating the airbags ("losing lift") and larger diameter wheels will result in the truck not delating enough ("losing drop"). both are bad, losing lift will result in a poor ride and losing drop will put stress on shocks because they will typically bottom out, and the shocks and shock mounts are not made to carry the weight of the truck

measure the diameter of your wheels or even better use a calculator https://tiresize.com/calculator/ and enter the numbers off the sidewall and calculate the diameter. then you can use the comparison tab to enter 18 20 22 24 tire sizes and find one that is the same diameter.

for width, the best thing about a bagged s10 swap is how much room you have in the fenderwells. where does your truck sit when it is aired out? flat on the ground? just off the ground? way off the ground but still low? just about any wheel width will fit up inside the fenders, but turning them may be a chore unless you can lift to clear the tires.

"That's" bull. I have run 18 x 8 in the front on a 4 inch offset. And 20 x 10 in the rear on a 5 inch offset you just have to run a two wheel drive rear end and make your own inner wheel houses out of trailer fenders. The front cleared fine. And that truck went all the way down and even touched the ground with the running board brackets.
