In the air. I couldn’t do what i do without this lift.

Because I lift from the rear, the box is very front heavy. A few 66lb bags of concrete level things out nicely. Making for a very easy lift.

As I’m sure most know. Removing 51 year old carriage bolts is a PITA. Since the bed floor is junk, I just cut the floor 6” along the boxside. Then I just flipped them over to grind the bolts off.

Swapped the body cart for some wheel dollys.

Need the body cart for the cab, which will be off shortly.

I really like The Wheel Dollys .
Did you make them?

I did not. The same guy who shortened my frame and notched it built them. He has a whole line of Automotive restoration Accessories. Rottiseries, cab lifts, body carts, these dollies. And he’s always tinkering with other ideas.

Finally drug the cab and chassis in the shop tonight.

Got a bit more disassembled tonight. It sure is nice to take apart a truck that isn’t super rusty! All bolts came out without any issue. Not common around here.

I don’t plan on taking the front clip apart so have to wait for some assistance to get it off. Should be fully disassembled tomorrow.

Popped the windshield out for a pleasant surprise. Some well earned patina but no rust.

Around here, these corners really like to bubble up when trucks sit.

The floor on the other hand isn’t quite as clean, but still in better shape than most around here.

2 cab corners
2 lower kicks and floor panel
Both sills above the rocker.

Not sure about the mounts yet. They look pretty good so far but won’t know for sure until I get it off the frame.

Rolled the old frame outside. Still gonna need some odds and ends from it, but for now it can sit.

From what i can tell, its the original 307. Not like anyone would put one in on purpose:lol::lol:

Ill throw it up for sale for a few bucks, but if it doesn’t sell it’ll go to scrap. Too bad, cause it actually runs.

I sold my 307 pretty quick for $200, maybe just luck. It ran great and fired right up every time and only had 35,000 miles.

I’ll put it up for few days before I junk it. That’s for sure.

Forgot to post these up. Boxsides are quite nice. A few more dents than I’d hoped for but zero rust. Pretty damned good for a farm truck that worked for a little over 40 years.

They’ll head out to a body guy soon to be shortened:metal::metal:

Crazy how the spotwelds on both were broken in this area.

An easy fix for sure. Just not by me:lol::lol:

Ran the box sides down to friends shop, he’s really good at shortening factory sides with very little paint disturbance. Looking forward to getting them back.

Managed to find a little bit of time to work on the cab tonight. Nothing crazy, but its the little things that aid in reassembly.

A simple tap through the hinge plates sure makes things easier later.

It pretty nice when the original bolts clean up this nicely.

I’m so tired of cleaning up mouse nests and crap, the joys of fixing up a farm truck. Found this little apartment behind the gas tank. :barf::barf::barf::barf:

Fun pic of the day, Threw some extra parts at the parts truck to make it look complete. Now she looks cool just hanging out on the driveway.

Has no engine, trans or interior, and all i did to lower it was cut out the coils, but with a bumper and the 22’s, She at least gives the impression of looking like an actual truck:metal::metal:

Guess you could call it driveway art.
