In line transmission filter from Summit
I recently burned 3rd gear out of my 700R4, as well as the 2-4 band. Well when I droped my pan it cleaned up with only 1 paper towle, and the clutches were gone, the only thing left was the metal just about, I cut apart the filter and saw that it was competly gumed up with clutch peices, and thus saved my TQ from also being destroyed. This is a great add on for thoes people who are crazy enough to put a 700R4 behind a big block or high horse power small block.

I have an remote transmission filter and I really like it. It also has a temp gauge with it. Its a permacool unit and it was about 80.00 new with everything. Was really happy with it.
|
Yeah I wish I spent alittle more and got the temp gauge too, it has the spot for it, just no sending unit or gague.
|
I could be wrong but I think the summit brand for those is permacool. You can order the gauge kit to install a temp gauge.
|
You are correct, it is Permacool, and give me the $$ and I will order the temp gague set up.

Good try but no dice lol...

The bad news is the fluid that goes through the cooler lines is coming FROM the torque converter. My guess is that any crap you see in the filter is also coming from the torque converter. The pan filter should stop all but the finest of stuff that comes from the rest of the tranny. Sorry, but worry about that converter.
