Simple stovebolt engine storage/test stand

Jeg's has the stands for $49 and with a 25% off a little cheaper at Harbor Freight. Allows using starter with bell housing, and flywheel. Clutch and trans can be added. Rear perches would be horizontal for earlier bell housing. I will add engine pic in a few days.

Great idea. I tried hanging a 6 from the original version. Does not work so well. Also with a few more mods you could make a really inexpensive test stand. HMMM

Agree Paul, stand can easliy handle a gas can, radiator and battery with added brackets. Or just a radiator.

Centers on all engine mounting points -- front to back is 34" give or take an 1/8". Make mount holes larger for adjustment. I used 1.5 inch x 1/8 in thick angle and a piece of 2 ". Extended the bottom bar with 2" square tubing. Used bolts that came with stand. Everything yellow added.
