10 cans of R12 freon for $110 good price?

Someone I know has 10 cans of R12 freon for $110. That's a good price, right? Does it go bad or leak out?

Buy it :metal:

It doesn’t go bad. As long as the cans are sealed you are good to go.

Its a real good buy. I just paid 300 for 18 cans and thought it was a good deal.
Weigh the cans, they can and do leak down, can itself weighs about on a 14oz can weights 3.1 oz. i charged a truck today and weighed the cans before and after.

Buy it. I bought a sealed 30 pounder about 7 years ago for $250 and feel like I stole it.

Good deal . I have two 30 pounders bought them just before they stop selling it. Uncle bought 20 or so for his shop. If I remember correctly it was 60 bucks for the 2. I have opened one to top off my Studebakers and used about 2 lbs in suburban.

I bought a 30 pounder right before California legislated (or maybe it was Federal) that you had to have a license to buy it, some time around '88. I went to CostCo to get a tank, because they used to sell it. Somebody bet me to it and bought all they had- 2 pallets worth. I got mine at Pep Boys, and it was their last one or I would have bought more. I paid $260 for it, and I'm almost out.

I only have 3 cars that use it. My uncle went though his because of the collision aspect and lots of cars were still r12. He did get a license for it but it was stupid high the price for a 30 lb tank

I guess I need to see how much I have left and do something with it. I don't expect to ever need the 12 again. I also have most of a 30# tank of R22 left I need to do something with.
Are there any concerns or hurdles to deal with shipping compressed containers like these?
