Was a 3 speed on the floor an original factory option?

(I love the lwb stepsides! That one needs the spare tire on the side though).

nope, but it was not uncommon for the column shift to be converted to an aftermarket 3-spd floor shifter.

If I keep my 71 I will probably get a floor shifter too. I drove a 3OTT in high school and it was neat but I just dislike it nowadays

I love my column shift, when you drive a truck like these, you don't give a shot about the clown behind you.

SMOKING DEAL on this truck. That's my opinion anyway. I haven't seen the truck, but there's a decent chance there's little to no rust. If I had the room I wouldn't be posting this.

This truck was a 1971 SWB step side. The guy owned it since 1991ish and was planning to finish. It runs "but the battery is dead". The body looked fantastic and no rust (fallon). I'm guessing low odometer. It came with a new wood bed, not installed. Original tailgate not installed. The interior had been restored. The 350 engine had been replaced or rebuilt. Asking price 3K.......Sold within a day.

I believe this same camper was for sale earlier this year by a private party on Craig's List and then it showed up a couple months ago at this dealer for significantly more money.

Ok, here it is! The ultra-rare 72 CustomCamper20. Ok, all kidding aside, and incorrect year/correct location Custom Camper emblems aside, $2k for a decent big block is nice, whether it's a custom camper or not. It's possible the seller just didn't know which emblem to place in the holes he had on the door, or, he drilled em himself. Only the SPID or build sheet will tell. Anyway, can't argue with the price, I don't care what emblems he sticks on the door! Big fan of white/lt yellow too!
